This year’s Galway Races will be held between July 28th & August 3rd at Ballybrit Racecourse, located outside of Galway city centre. Shuttle bus transfers run daily from Eyre Square, outside the Skeff Bar. A return ticket costs €10 for adults and €6 for kids, with return shuttles starting before the second-last race. The Galway Races Festival draws approximately 250,000 attendees over the week, making it one of the most anticipated events of the year. The festival includes around 50 races, with total prize money exceeding €2 million. The highlight of the festival is the Galway Plate on the third day, which attracts the biggest crowds and media attention.

Ladies Day
Ladies Day, held on the fourth day of the festival, is a vibrant mix of racing and fashion. The Best Dressed Lady competition offers a prize of up to €10,000, while the Best Hat competition awards up to €2,000. Judges select finalists from the crowd, and the event also features live music on-course, making it a must-attend occasion.
